Description
As our first Head of Performance, you will be a key member of the Growth team and have the opportunity to build and run a performance marketing function from the ground up. Swimply is looking for a team-oriented, analytic, and results-driven Head of Performance Marketing to play a critical role in defining and executing against key strategic campaigns. You will be responsible for strategizing and executing multichannel campaigns to drive awareness, product sign-ups and lead generation at scale globally. This is the first hire in this role and after initial execution, you will build and manage the team at scale. You are a performance marketing expert who is highly analytical who can operate both at both strategic and tactical levels. You are highly collaborative, and have a strong track record of planning, building and managing large-scale campaigns. Reporting to the CEO, you will be given the opportunity to guide all of our users through a customized journey across a variety of paid channels. By delivering messaging that is right place and right time, and on-brand, you will bring people from consideration to first purchase!
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership to establish priorities, goals and targets, and develop strategic and tactical plans to deliver on those targets.
- Well versed across multiple paid media channels including Google Ads Search, Google Display, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Snap, Reddit, YouTube, direct, programmatic, retargeting and content syndication.
- Execute tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid campaigns both Social and Search.
- Track, report, and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns
- Manage campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies
- Optimize copy and landing pages for paid search engine marketing campaigns
- Perform ongoing paid keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
- Research and analyze competitor advertising links
Requirements
- 5+ years in relevant experience and success managing performance campaigns. Marketplace experience is a huge plus.
- Well-versed in performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in search engine marketing
- Experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics)
- Strong analytical skills, and proven track record in making data-driven decisions to continually optimize performance and determine future investments
- Familiarity with A/B and multivariate experiments
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders as well as external agency partners
- BS/MS degree in Marketing or a quantitative, test-driven field a plus
